Lately, people have been asking me about what is on the market for rentals in Hermosa Beach. There are currently 20 properties in the Sand section (west of Valley), with a couple 1 bedroom rentals for under $2,000 a month. The 2 bedroom homes range from $2,200 to $9,500 if you want to live on the Strand. There are also a few 4 bedroom homes on the Strand ranging from $7,500 to $20,000 a month. The newly built modern home designed by Louis Tomaro at 2634 The Strand can be rented for $20,000 per month.
There is one home in the Valley section that is a great 4 bedroom, 3 bath family home that can rented for $6,000 per month. On the east side of PCH in the Hermosa Hills there are 3 homes on the MLS for a rental. There are two 2 bedroom/1 bath homes for either $2,700 or $3,000 a month. There is a great corporate furnished rental with 3 bedrooms/2 baths for $3,998 down for the original listing price of $4,950. This home is located at 1016 10th St with all the amenities including a jacuzzi in the back yard, great for entertaining.

Redondo Beach Golden Hills homes
Currently there are 15 single family homes for sale in the Golden Hills section of Redondo Beach. The prices range from $559k to $899k. The home at 1600 Carver St is a 2 BD/1 BA beach cottage listed since early October at $559k. At 1545 Steinhart Ave, there is a brand new construction 3 BD/2.5 BA almost 2,000 sq foot home listed at $899k since mid-November. A great remodeled home with all the modern touches is located at 1604 Carlson Lane and is currently listed at $759k (down from $779k when it first hit the market in mid-October).
There is also a 2 BD/2 BA end unit townhome located at 1301 Aviation Blvd for sale at $425k (started at $499k at the end of August), needs updating but great price point for living less than a mile from the beach.

Hermosa Beach properties
As 2010 comes to an end, I would like to give a quick recap of the homes on the market in Hermosa Beach.
In the sand section (west of Valley/Ardmore), there are currently 41 properties on the market ranging from $469,000 to $14.5 million. Fifteen of those are Strand properties and 8 of those are units on sale in the Beach House hotel. The most expensive property in Hermosa Beach is 2826 The Strand built Don Doukoullos in 2010 for a cool $14.5 million and boasts 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a home theater, rooftop swimming pool and so much more.
The Hermosa Valley section (between Valley/Ardmore & PCH) there are 11 properties on the market and 6 of those are 1 or 2 bedroom condos under $600k. 3 of them are short sales or REO properties including 713 4th St which was listed earlier this year as a short sale and is now an REO.
On the east side of PCH, in the Hermosa Hills section there are 14 properties on the market. Nine of those are single family homes ranging from $759k (great corner lot home at 1601 Prospect) to $1,650,000 (a 4 bd + office with great views).
